In present-day Iran, tea has a very special and long tradition and significance. Buying tea is a man's affair and is exclusively done at the bazaar, at the tea dealer's, but not before hours of talking about everything under the sun and finally negotiating the price and quality of the desired blend. In these cultures, great importance is placed on the appearance of the tea blends - only the most beautiful tea leaves with plenty of "tippy" and rose petals are used. We carefully blend these fine varieties by hand according to an old Persian recipe to avoid damaging the tea leaves.
