This jasmine tea is picked in Fujian province in selected highland areas as green tea with tippy during the "Before Qing Ming Time" period at the end of April. The tradition of this festival, which is hundreds of years old, is still maintained and celebrated today. The unique quality of this variety results partly from the fresh, particularly high-quality green tea base, and partly from the fact that only selected jasmine blossoms are used. Shortly before sunrise, the fresh jasmine blossoms may only be picked by hand so as not to lose their delicate and finely sweet aroma. This tea specialty is produced in a simple and natural way. The freshly produced green tea is carefully layered in large wooden boxes with the freshly picked jasmine blossoms and then stored sealed for several weeks. The tea maker continuously checks the quality and aroma and can repeat this blending process several times until the quality meets his expectations. The jasmine blossoms are, as with all high-quality jasmine tea varieties, separated by hand and the green tea is exported in small boxes.
