Über diesen Tee
Pai Mu Tan tea has been cultivated in China for many centuries. Pai means "white" and Mu Tan "peony". White tea does not naturally grow as a white tea leaf, but belongs to the supergroup of green teas; its name merely comes from the many white-silvery tips. Immediately after being hand-picked, which is very laborious due to the unusually high number of tips, the still green tea leaves are dried in the sun after a short wilting process and then roasted by the teamaker in copper pans over an open fire. This production method also results in an incredibly clear, rounded taste in the cup, without any bitterness. This Pai Mu Tan is an ideal tip for tea lovers who can never drink enough green tea and appreciate the refreshing effect of caffeine.
